About GrassrootSoccer UNITED

Grassroot Soccer, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, launched Grassroot Soccer United (GRSU) in 2008. Grassroot Soccer United is a youth-led movement of soccer playing kids around the world who are coming together in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.

GRSU empowers youth to take action to help less fortunate kids around the world gain access to the education and tools that will help them live a healthy life. Through the power of soccer, kids around the globe can become advocates for these critical issues, raise money to help their teammates, and reach out to support African youth. GRSU enables this activity by linking kids together through this website, providing strategies for contacting each other via mail or phone, and, for a select few, facilitating an actual, in-person introduction.
