Grassroot Soccer United is a team of soccer
playing youth (ages 10-18) around the world
who use soccer for a greater purpose.
We all know it is great to score the winning
goal, interact with team mates and wear
cool soccer gear. But wouldn’t it
be awesome if you could use the power of
soccer to help educate less fortunate kids
around the world? And what if you could
actually connect with one of them or even
meet them?
This can happen through Grassroot
Soccer United as we take soccer to a whole
new level!
- When you raise enough
money to become one of our Starting 11,
you will actually WIN
A TRIP TO AFRICA to meet your African
teammate. The top 11 fundraisers between
now and March 31st , 2009 will win a trip
that will take place in the summer of
2009. More details regarding the trip,
click here.
- As you reach different
levels of fundraising, you will be eligible
to win more Cool
Prizes and have a bigger impact on
the life of your African "teammate."
You will also be listed on the Dribble
2008 web site based on your fundraising
level. See our page on ideas
on how to raise money.
- When you raise $100 or
more for Grassroot Soccer, you will be
partnered with a
young African soccer player on the
website. You can contact this person or
just know that your efforts are going
to help this child and kids like him or
her in Africa. (You will also get some
cool stuff sent to you in the mail thanking
you for your efforts.)
